Student Co-operative Housing @ Keele & Finch

The York Non-Profit Housing Society Cooperative, an incorporated non-profit dedicated to growing the cooperative sector by converting multi-tenant housing into leased-housing cooperatives, is currently offering accommodations to students and/or recent graduates.

The application process is straightforward.

  1. Sign up to the YNHSC waiting list:

  3. Board would then move to approve your application at a bi-weekly membership meeting, and the members of the cooperative to vote to approve/decline their motion to accept your application;

  4. A YNHSC representative will contact you to notify you of your application's approval/rejections!

Private rental market housing is the most common type of housing available in York University Heights. It's not a comprehensive list, but it's a tried and tested method for finding housing in the York Community.

Unfortunately, YCHA is only a housing help/support tool dedicated to helping folks living in and/or looking for a place to call home in the York Community. While we do not offer any particular listings/accommodations (yet), it's worth noting that we will be conducting a comprehensive mixed-methods research study in the Village @ York University to identify multi-tenant (rooming) houses and rooming house operators.

We care about making sure that housing in the Village remains available for students and residents, that's why we will not be publishing any of the addresses and/or operator details on our site (for now). However, if you're looking to get more information about available on/off-campus housing, we can absolutely point you in the right direction!
